Half Light, for piano trio, is propelled by an obsession with the seductive, illusive and ultimately unattainable “other.” Shifting colors dance between minor and major, while static chords are juxtaposed with staccato gestures, and lines shift between dynamic extremes. The trio flirts with the tango throughout, evoking a tune—pulled from Edgardo Donato's, A Media Luz—that remains, always, just out of reach. 

Half Light was commissioned by The Phoenix Concerts in celebration of its 10th Anniversary, recorded by entelechron, and released on the Roven Records label.
